What a wonderful day it is for Democrats and for the country!
As you know, my concentration this cycle was doing whatever we could to help elect the President and Tim Kaine. And we did it! We had a clean sweep for Democrats in Arlington and statewide.
We’ve had a whirlwind year – three local elections in Arlington just in 2012. I certainly couldn’t have made it through such a grueling campaign schedule without you and the support you’ve given me over the last several years. Now I’m looking forward to simply getting down to the job of representing you.
I want to congratulate Matt Wavro and Audrey Clement on their campaigns. They deserve a lot of credit for debating the issues and getting people around the County engaged in the process. That’s truly the Arlington Way.
Again, thank you so much for your continuing support. It has meant so much to me, and I’m excited to continue working with you all as we move Arlington forward.
